SCHEDULING YOUR EVENT
As in any other Professional Sanctioning Body (NBA, NFL etc.) the
IAB will continue to assure events will
not conflict with one another when it comes to event scheduling. Knowing this,
we have established the following guidelines for scheduling an IAB Sanctioned event:
If your proposed IAB Sanctioned event
is more than 50 miles from any other already scheduled IAB
Sanctioned event, the following rules do not apply to you and your proposed IAB Sanctioned event.
If your proposed IAB Sanctioned event
is within 50 Miles In The Same State Or Across Any Bordering State,IAB Scheduling protocols require that the
second scheduling promoter schedule their event date a minimum of:
5 Days BEFORE or 5 Days AFTER the
already scheduled Promoter who's event is already scheduled on the
IAB
Events page. (The scheduled event days do not count as counted
days)
If you are in need of a certain date that falls at or inside the required
guidelines above you may request to the IAB
Headquarters a written request for a "waiver of date guideline" by
e-mail to
info@iabboxing.com
Such a request must include a detailed reason why you "NEED"
the requested date and why you cannot extend your date to the required
guidelines as noted above.
If the already scheduled IAB Promoter
agrees to waive the time guidelines you will be allowed to schedule your event
inside the required time guidelines listed above.
APPROVAL PROCESS
Your IAB Promoters Application will
be Approved or Denied within 7 business days from the day it is received here at
the IAB Headquarters.
If denied you will be notified in writing via e-mail of the reasons for
your denial and given suggestions on how to attain approval if possible.
If you are planning on or would like to add MMA/NHB (Mixed Martial Arts)
as part of your event we ask you to look into sanctioning this event with our
sister organization for MMA, the ISCF. However it is not mandatory that you
co-sanction your IAB Boxing event with the
ISCF.
If you are planning on or would like to add Kickboxing or Muay Thai as part
of your event we ask you to look into sanctioning this event with our sister
organization for Kickboxing or Muay Thai, the
IKF.
However it is not mandatory that you co-sanction your IAB
Boxing event with the
IKF.
After your event has been posted on the IAB Events page,
you will be appointed your event Officials. If you have requested certain
Officials, we will consider these individuals first in the appointment process.
